This literature review is divided into five chapters in which each chapter explains a process that why the conventional theorization in psychotherapy is problematic and why the third way of knowing practice in psychotherapy is necessary. Specifically, Chapter 1 goes back to the sources of the conventional psychotherapy approach-theorization and introduces its history; Chapter 2 is a critique of the theorization approach in psychotherapy; Chapter 3 is a description of the “third way of knowing” and its features. Chapter 4 is a delineation of the third way of knowing practice in psychotherapy; Chapter 5 is my application of the third way of knowing practice in psychotherapy
