    Abstract
The purpose of this exploratory project is to find commonalities among transformative moments. The study was conducted through an autoethnography and examined the sole experiences of the author. Through an approach of mindfulness, the research concludes that experimental group experiences and affect learning are two multi-faceted commonalities found to be universal in transformation. Although these findings are subjective, the study applied these commonalities to Viktor Frankl and Nelson Mandela as a way to exemplify the universal nature of the commonalities. The paper will conclude with the author’s personal journey through the thesis process.
